Patchway Community Centre, Rodway Road, Patchway, Bristol.

South Gloucestershire Council has teamed up with the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) to host a job fair and advice day in Patchway.

The event takes place on Friday 31st October at the Patchway Community Centre on Rodway Road, from 10am to 2pm. Its aim is to provide an opportunity for jobseekers to meet with a variety of employers and talk face to face about vacancies, apprenticeships, and other upcoming employment opportunities.

A wide variety of organisations from South Gloucestershire will be represented at the event, offering a range of full and part-time, temporary and permanent vacancies. There will also be useful advice and information on offer for job seekers, including tips for effective CV writing and guidance on accessing training.

Community Engagement Officer George Kousouros said:

“Come along to our job fair in Patchway and hear about all of the great opportunities that are available in the area. We understand how challenging it can be for unemployed people to enter the world of work, so we are doing all we can to support them.”

“As well as being able to speak directly to local businesses about the vacancies they currently have on offer, there will also be experts on hand to give out advice on a range of useful job finding activities.”

Confirmed attendees include representatives from South Gloucestershire Council, DWP, NBT Extra, Total Security Services, Premier Inn and many more.
