Charlton Hayes ‘picnic in the park’ for under-5s

Charlton Hayes Under-5s Picnic in the Park.

The next community event in Charlton Hayes takes place on Thursday (22nd May) from 11am – 1pm at the Temporary Green on Ringsfield Lane (located off Wood Street in the Long Leaze part of the development).

The event has been billed as a “picnic in the park – Charlton Hayes style”.

As many people have moved to Charlton Hayes from all over the South West region, this is a great opportunity for residents to get to know each other and also to meet some of the service providers who offer pre-schools/nurseries in the locality.

Some of the businesses attending include: 123 Jump, Patchway Library, Ambourne House Day Nursery, St Chad’s Pre-School and Sustainable Travel South West. Each will be providing an activity for the young people.

There will be a Peppa Pig bouncy castle, a colouring castle, face painting, ‘bling your bike!’ and loads of fun for young children as well as information for parents about the services that are available in their new community.

Charlton Hayes community development worker Winsome Barrett-Muir said:

“All we’re asking is that parents come along with a picnic lunch and have a great time together in their new community. You will also get to meet your community development worker and find out more about your locality.”
