MP congratulates TNT Post on Patchway job creation

Jack Lopresti MP visits TNT Post, Patchway.

Jack Lopresti, MP for Filton and Bradley Stoke, last week visited the TNT Post delivery depot on Patchway Industrial Estate to congratulate the company on creating over 160 jobs in the past five years.

During the visit Mr Lopresti met members of the TNT Post team in Bristol and heard how the company created jobs in its distribution depot and local sales force. He also heard about its plan to rollout a new mail delivery service to households and businesses across the UK which will create 20,000 new jobs in the next five years, involving infrastructure investment and job creation at the TNT Post Bristol depot.

Over the past five years, TNT Post has won many clients in the Bristol area from both the public and private sector. Well-known brands include Orange, a significant local employer and Bristol City Council which TNT Post has worked with over the past four years, saving the local taxpayer £480,000 through reduced postage costs.

Following the visit, Mr Lopresti said:

“Many congratulations to TNT Post on celebrating five years of operations here in Bristol. The company has made a significant contribution to the local economy and I welcome its plans for significant job creation.”

Nick Wells, CEO TNT Post UK, commented

“Many thanks to Mr Lopresti for taking time to meet with our team in Bristol which has delivered a great service and savings to local businesses and public sector organisations in the past five years. We look forward to significant growth in our local operations if we get Government backing for our Postie jobs creation programme.”
