Students show their spots and raise lots for Children in Need

Children in Need - show your spots, let's raise lots.

Staff and students at Patchway Community College showed their spots and hopefully raised lots whilst having an non-uniform day on Friday 16th November to raise money for the charity ‘Children in Need’.

This year’s Children in Need slogan “Show your spots, let’s raise lots” has been tied in with the school’s house system with students being awarded ten points for their house if they wore something spotty on the non-uniform day that happens every year at the college.

To take part in this day all students had to do was pay a £1 donation to Children in Need and hopefully turn up wearing something spotty, which most of the students did.

One Year 11 student at Patchway Community College said:

“I think raising money for Children in Need with a non-uniform day is a great idea as long as everyone donated £1 or maybe even more.”

Daniel Hibbard added:

“The money raised goes to a good cause and helps the children who need help the most!”

Overall, all the staff and students at Patchway Community College had an amazing day raising lots of money for Children in Need. This year’s total stands at a total of £450 which is an amazing effort from everyone at Patchway Community College!
