Police car.

Witnesses and information are being sought following a distraction burglary in Patchway last week.

At around 4pm on Friday 22nd June, an 86-year-old woman was at home in Callicroft Road, when a man knocked at the door asking about building work.

The lady let the man into the house. When the man left, the victim noticed money had been taken.

Officers investigating this crime would now like to speak to a man who is described as white, approx 20 years-old, tall, and of a slim build. He had short curly brown hair, was clean shaven and was wearing grey patterned trousers and a grey/black top.

Anyone who may have information about this incident is asked to call police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
