Pixie Lott to star in Mall’s charity Jubilee Concert

The Mall at Cribbs Causeway has revealed its plans to hold a Bristol Jubilee Concert this summer.

Details of the Bristol Jubilee Concert were announced today by The Mall, revealing a fantastic line-up of acts to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in style.

Brit nominee and pop starlet Pixie Lott is confirmed as the headline artist for the concert, which will take place on Saturday 2nd June 2012, in a specially built outdoor arena, in front of The Mall.

X Factor Finalist Misha B will be supporting the star, along with Cheltenham band Young Kato, who supported Olly Murs at The Mall’s Christmas Lights Switch on Concert in November last year, whilst Bristol born comedian and MTV presenter Joel Dommett has been lined up to compere the two-hour-long concert.

As well as providing an exciting event for Bristol to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee, The Mall hopes to raise £10,000 for a Life for a Cure, Ryan Bresnahan’s Meningitis Appeal, in association with Meningitis UK, which aims to help find the ultimate vaccine to fight meningitis.

Tickets to the concert are free of charge, but fans are asked to make a voluntary donation of £1 per ticket, to raise vital funds for a Life for a Cure.

Bristol teenager Ryan Bresnahan sadly died from meningitis within just two hours of contracting the disease. In the two years since his death, Ryan’s family set up Ryan’s appeal fund ‘a Life for a Cure’ in a bid to raise funds to support research projects that have the best possible chance of advancing the development of the ultimate vaccine.

Maria Crayton, Head of Marketing at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, said:
